(Looks like this). Kyle Bean had one of those in mind when creating a “Matryoshka” doll of the evolution of the cell phone. Although not really technical or even to scale, concept is quite strong (how many of us are old enough to remember what those gigantic cell phones really looked like anyways?)

Artists from across the pond are known for going big and producing high quality vandalism that is hard to find anywhere else. Berlin is at the forefront of the vandal and street art movement in Europe and is home to Mentalgassi.

Mentalgassi is fairly new on street scene but they/he/she are producing high quality posters and placing them on the most procarious of locations. They creatively use mundane objects found on the street as a base for their posters and artwork. Most of their posters are people’s faces -err, making faces. The faces are pretty high quality and always wrap around the object they’re on.

This is some of the dopest highest quality stuff I’ve seen on the streets. I hope mentalgassi keeps killing shit on the street in the years to come.

This game is a play off the simple line games on iPhone’s except it is better in EVERY way! It is a brilliant representation of interactive dubstep and Different Cloth picked the BEST dubstep artist for the job, 16Bit!!!!!! You can all remember 16Bit from our Dubstep Track of the Week #1


Gotta love this! Hopefully dubstep will be used in more games and movies and all sorts of media. If anyone is technically inclined to do so and wants any tracks please just ask.

Time for some streetwear,

Check out “FRSH”, previously known as “Franco Shade”. These guys recently revamped their whole website in preparation for their summer 2009 line. This California based line is doing everything right in this extremely under-qualified bloggers eyes. Aside from having some awesome designs, FRSH also has their web 2.0 game down tight. Now-a-days I feel like if you want to have a successful company you have to create a strong internet presence to bring personality to your brand and really connect with your customer and thats just what FRSH has done. With an awesome new website, a blog and a twitter account (if you don’t mind the occasional basketball gambling update) They even have a vimeo account, and I have a very soft spot for vimeo.
All of this gives you a peak into who’s behind these sweet ass shirts and make it that much easier to give them your money.

What about 100? Try fitting that many in your home.  Now I bet you never imagined what exactly 1600 chairs look like.  Doris Salcedo is here to help.  Back in 2003 she stacked that many sitters between two buildings for the 8th International Istanbul Biennial.

I can’t imagine that she had any political, economic, or historical motivation.  She just wants to grant the wish to those people who ever wondered, “What does shitload of chairs really look like.”  But I’m more of a sofa guy.

Check out the OP-1, a midi controller & stand alone synthesizer from Swedish based Teenage Engineering which looks absolutely beautifull.

I mean check out how sick the sceen looks in this test vid

#1. These just look so great, I am a huge fan of clean modern looks, minimalism is key in a lot of things.

#2. This next one is only pratical and cool if no one is around to see you but I can see it being used in an outdoor-sies situation. A rain coat type jacket that turns into an armchair.

#3. A clever table that turns into a sofa deal, or vice versa. This is really clever and useful but I am not a fan of the green with wood, that’s just me though.

#4. Personnally I like to watch TV while working on anything on my computer but this design and concept is just too sick to avoid. Rotatable wall type thing from Indiana Jones – Nazi HQ.

#5. Hopefully this becomes a standard in a lot of apartments soon. This is a bed that can be lowered or raised to maximize space in the room.

Walls Notebook allows you to freely graffiti or draw on walls in the safety of your home, or where ever you are. This is brilliant and I hope this revolutionizes the graffiti scene, I would like to see the need for ‘black books’ to be replaced with something like this, or at least have some graphic designers add a fully graffiti-ed Walls Notebook to their portfolio.

I hope this inspires many to go out and buy this, or maybe just to the original version of this (graffiti with the risk *cough*). Here at DopeCool we are inspired by ’some’ of your art but also by ‘most’ of your aspirations and enthusiasm.
